There are a 1000+ reasons to love Nags Head. With old Nags Head style homes along the ocean (wrap around porch on the first level with old style shutters and cedar shakes) and the large investment homes, there is simply something for everyone. There are world class restaurants, great shopping areas, plenty for the grade schoolers and the teens. Check out the putt-putt or try some of the sound side water sports.
Nags Head is home to Jockeys Ridge, the tallest sand dune on the east coast. Try hang gliding and sail with the wind to view the best water scenes. Nags Head also hosts our Outer Banks Hospital. Never played golf. Never will. But I love looking at the beauty of the golf course located at The Villages at Nags Head. The entire neighborhood provides a private setting while being in the heart of all the Outer Banks activities. Come ... take a swing. From the junction at mile post 16 you can go west to Roanoke Island where our county seat is located. Manteo will delight you with the waterfront and historic things to see and do. Be sure to visit the Elizabethan Gardens and see the best outdoor drama, The Lost Colony. What a treat for the whole family! If you head south, you will begin the drive through Cape Hatteras National Seashore. The road will continue on to Hatteras Island and by ferry ride on to Ocracoke Island. There is simply too much to say about Nags Head and not enough time. Let us know what you like. We'll tell you were to find it. Contact us. We are here to help your dreams come true on the Outer Banks. |
